Kitchen Cabinet Painting

Renovating a kitchen is one of the most expensive remodeling projects you can take on and replacing the cabinets can be costly. 

One alternative would be to repaint it.
The most important thing is to determine if it is worth repainting your kitchen cabinets or if replacing them altogether would make more sense. 

Even the highest-quality paint can't revive cheap cabinets that have grown frail with age. But if your kitchen has “good bones,'' it could be one of the cheapest ways to give your kitchen a new life.
It's a very straightforward process but requires a meticulous and detailed approach. Get this right, and it will last for years to come.

The following (but not limited to)  tasks will be performed to complete this project:

• Removing all doors and hardware 
• Degreasing the surfaces of the cabinets and doors
• Tedious sanding to get rid of sheen and to create a proper surface for a primer  
• Patching dents or imperfections, then sand it to create a leveled and smooth surface.
• One or two coats of primer to establish the foundation and adhesives between the wood surface and paint 
• Two or three coats of paint with light sanding between coats
• All surrounding areas will be protected with plastic, drop cloth, or paper
• As the final step, I like to add an extra level of protection with a couple of coats of clear polyurethane 
• Reinstall all hardware and attach the door to the cabinets.

We don't spray the paint, so we don't have to cover and isolate your kitchen area for a few days and rob you of the use of the area for several days.

Instead, we remove all doors, draw panes, and paint them on the side. In that way, your kitchen is accessible throughout the process, and you don't have to inhale fumes from the sprayed paint.
