Decks Painting and Deck Staining

Wood decks and patios offer a rich and warm addition to any home and great places to spend time with friends and family. Like any painted, stained or sealed surface, wood decks must also be regularly maintained to ensure protection from the elements.
To ensure the desired result, your decks, patios or porches need to be restored to their original beauty and protect them from the harsh weather. Using a high-quality wood staining/painting process is essential. 

The success of any such project, especially involving exterior stains, depends highly on prep work. Several crucial steps are required before the staining process can begin. Implementing proper techniques and completing all stages in the right order will ensure it looks great all year around. 

• Depending upon the existing coating, decks will be power washed and if necessary, striping chemicals will be used (we use only non-toxic biodegradable oil stripper) to get rid of old peeling stains or paints
• Brightening the desks to bring and restore the natural color of the wood.  Sometimes, the use of stronger chemicals such as household bleach will require to get rid of mold, mildew, or fungus
• Several stage sanding would be necessary to level the damage done by the power washing and stripping process
• One or two coats of stain or paint will be applied. It highly depends on the nature of the product and expectation of use
• Applying several coats with the appropriate sealant to protect surfaces from moisture and UV rays. Two or more coats of polyurethane usually will achieve this result
• All work will be done with brushes or rollers
